We have the following position(s) open:
A full-time farmer is needed for Guara Ki Eco Farm, a 3 acre permaculture farm that grows a mix of perennials and annuals in a beyond-organic way.
The farm is in the Homestead area near the Everglades and has capacity for housing on site.
Our climate is sub-tropical and our annual growing season is from October to May.
The Farmer will be in charge of every aspect of growing for market on the farm, from starting seedlings to managing the market garden and the many beds.
Experience is required in farming annuals "organically"; everything else (subtropical/perennial plants, and permaculture) can be learned as you go. Must have ability to lead other farm staff (assistant farmers, interns). Salary depends on level of experience.

A full-time Nursery Manager is needed for our edible plant nursery (focusing on edible and useful perennials) that will begin to expand rapidly over the next six months.
The Nursery Manager will be responsible for all aspects of operating the nursery, from keeping supplies on hand, to attaining plant materials, and to managing the production anf maintenance nursery stock.
Experience is required in nursery operations and all methods of plant propagation; everything else (subtropical/perennial plants, and permaculture) can be learned as you go. Must have ability to lead other nursery staff (assistant farmers, interns). Salary depends on level of experience.

Earth Learning is seeking Permaculture Apprentice(s) to assist in the design and installation of perennial polyculture systems (food forests, alley cropping, market gardens) on various edible landscaping projects, as well as work in our edible plant nursery.
Knowledge of permaculture is important, as well the ability to understand patterns, willingness to work well, and not be afraid of hard work. The position will be based in Homestead. Apprentice must have their own transportation. Housing is available at Guara Ki Eco Farm.
You will work along-side a seasoned Permaculture Designer/Practitioner as we implement several exciting projects. The Apprenticeship is a minimum of 25 hours per week and pays a stipend accordingly. Please email a resume and at least 3 references to Mario Yanez as soon as possible.
